Log in at onlinebanking.natwest.com and open "Statements & transactions", where you download recent or historic statements as PDF. NatWest notes the downloaded PDF could be used as proof of your identity, address or income, which is exactly why landlords, lenders and accountants end up holding piles of them.
NatWest’s export is good. Here is when you still need this
Use the native export first for your own open current account. NatWest's own support centre lists Microsoft Money, Quicken 2001+ and Sage Line 50 as OFX, and Microsoft Excel, Lotus 123 or Text as CSV. That covers a lot of work, and we would rather say so than imply every bank is broken.

How far back can I get NatWest statements?
Up to 7 years: NatWest says you can view, download and print statements going back that far, in online banking and the app.
Is my statement uploaded to a server?
